What is the GLSE Scouts Webring?

If you own a Scouting Web Site within our County, then why not join the GLSE Scouts Webring. It's an easy way of boosting your site's traffic and showing off your site to other people within our County. A webring is a ring of sites which are linked in some way, in this case, being in the GLSE County.

How do I join?

Well, its very easy. You need to fill in our application form, and then a copy of the GLSE Scouts Webring code (shown below) will be sent to you. You add this to a main page on your site and you will be added to the ring.

What are the rules of the Webring?

There are a few simply rules which insure the webring continues to function properly.

  • Your site must be of a Scouting nature.
  • Only Scout Websites within the GLSE County will be added to the Webring.
  • You must have the correct and functioning code on a main page of your site. If you have incorrect code on your page, you will automatically be moved back to the webring queue.
  • You MUST NOT change the graphic's sizes when adding the code to your site.
  • You must submit the true URL for your Site, and not a referring address like a surf.to address.
  • If you have two versions of your site, for example "Framed or Unframed", "German or English" etc., you must display a copy of the Webring Graphics on each version site.
