Scouting is not funded by local or central government, and each Scout Group, District and County is required to raise funds to run the charity in question. Membership fees are part of that income generation, but other streams are required to ensure that the support is there for our adult volunteers and young people.
A great deal of fundraising happens across the County raising much needed funding to make Scouting happen for our young people, both at their weekly meetings, and for community and international projects.
This can take the form of bagpacking at a local supermarket, through to hosting quiz nights.
We are always looking for opportunities where we can, mutually, strike up partnerships to support Scouting and the partner. If you think you could have an idea that might benefit both our charity and your organisation, please contact Ben Richardson.
