It’s time to say ‘Thank You’ to everyone that has helped you through the last year Scouting has seen in your Districts! And to help you do this, we are pleased to see the return of the Arrowhead Awards! Our very own ‘Oscars’ for those that make Scouting happen! Scouting asks a lot of the hundreds of adults that run and support the Scouting. Help and support of all shapes and sizes come through to do jobs big and small, long and short for, and no matter what, they were all important in making a difference, and now is the time to say a huge THANK YOU!

Please think carefully about those that you have worked with across the year; leaders, executive committee members, parent helpers, any adult in Scouting that has supported you in your Districts, Groups and Sections this year, or even someone you, yourself, have supported. Anyone you would like to say a special ‘thank you’ to.

All that needs to happen is that the nomination form & citation be completed, this can be found here: Arrowhead Nomination Form. Anyone is able to complete this form. Below is a list of the Arrowhead Awards that are available. Each nomination requires a form to be fully completed.

Please click here to see details of each award category that is available

An Arrowhead Award Celebration Event will be held – with some real ‘razamataz’. The glitzy evening will be held at a venue in the County (to be confirmed) at 7.30pm on 19th July 2014. Please put this date into your diaries now. It will be an opportunity to come along and enjoy a relaxing, enjoyable AND complimentary night on the County! Nominees will be invited personally after the forms have been received and will be invited to bring friends and family with them to support them.

Nominations should completed by midnight Saturday 31st May 2014. It is very important that nominations are received by then in order for the nominations to be judged then nominees to be invited and the trophies engraving etc.

For each category there will be a winner and a runner up for each District and will be judged by an external panel. If you would like to nominate a Scouting colleague for one of these awards then now is your chance. However, whoever you decide to nominate should not be aware of their nomination. This is an ideal opportunity to reward and recognise the adults that get overlooked by the formal award scheme of The Scout Association, or for those adults that aren’t yet eligible for their next formal award.
